Urbaser has grown incredibly quick in the past 3 years and our systems have been playing catch up on many fronts. Vehocheck was a perfect fit for what we needed and indeed required in our quest for platforms that show us ‘one version of the truth.’ Uniformity across all Urbaser depots, photographic evidence, remote access and ability to monitor compliance at group, depot and contract levels.
Working closely with the Vehocheck developers (who are always ready to listen), we’ve been able to customise/improve the system and tailor it to our business needs and now we feel that Vehocheck is helping take Urbaser to another level.

Moving digital increased efficiencies and productivity.
Old fashioned paper, vehicle defect books and paper PMI checks initially served a purpose, but soon became unreliable and hard to manage. All reporting was retrospective whereas now, at a push of a button we have a real-time view and a very clear picture of all our fleet vehicles, with detailed reporting that can support our managers and help increase performance, whilst identifying any areas of non-conformance.
This helped Urbaser efficiently manage a fleet of around 700 vehicles in real-time across the country. All our information is now held in one place and can be accessed anytime and from anywhere. The investment in Vehocheck also helped our regional and national managers reduce not only fuel use but travel time which allowed them to spend more time in the business.

One tree makes 16.67 reams of copy paper or 8,333.3 sheets.
At Urbaser, on average we carry out 3,500 daily walkaround checks across our fleet over the course of a week. Our old paper defect books were A5, which is half the size of A4 so that’s 2 checks per 1 piece of A4 paper.
So if we divide the weekly checks by 2, that’s 1,750 pieces of A4 paper, which we multiple by 50 operational weeks, this adds up to 87,500 pieces of A4 paper.
