Evolving to meet the challenges of the Coronavirus
Here’s how we’ve implemented new measures to ensure the VehoCheck app is fit for purpose as we tackle the Coronavirus outbreak.
The spread of Covid-19 has fundamentally changed every facet of life and business, not just in the UK but across the world.
Meeting this new set of circumstances has forced each of us out of our comfort zone, as we adapt our business activities to meet the expectations of life in 2020.
Whether it be working from home, limiting ourselves to one daily excursion or washing our hands an inordinate amount, prioritising the safety of ourselves and others now shapes every single thing we do in this strange new world.
Facilitating the safety of everyone on the roads is one of the tenets that VehoGroup was founded upon.
However, the nature of this challenge has taken a surprise turn over the past two months and the desire of responsible business owners to keep staff and customers protected has loomed at the forefront of just about every discussion.
These are financially challenging times for all of us and we are well aware that employees may feel duty bound to complete shifts to help support the business, even if they are unintentionally working whilst exhibiting mild symptoms of the disease.
This introduces a new set of circumstances for businesses to overcome and the uncertainty can leave many operators wondering how to meet their day-to-day activities.
For instance, if your driver was contact traced as a source of an infection for one of your customers, your business could potentially be held responsible for not undertaking the requisite due diligence to protect your customers.
Conversely, such an incident could threaten to irreversibly damage hard earned relationships that you have painstakingly built up over several years.
As the recorded cases of Covid-19 rockets past 150,000 and deaths tragically surpass the 20,000 mark, we have ensured that our technology is responsive to the current working climate.
To reduce the risk of spreading the disease and to help our customers implement diligent business practices, we are now encouraging VehoCheck users to include the declaration “I am not showing any symptoms for Coronavirus/COVID-19” in the driver declaration section of their inspection checklists.
By implementing this simple adaptation, our technology platform is enabling operators within the transport sector to provide a service that works in the safety interests of its users, their customers and the wider public.

Stopping the spread of Coronavirus is an issue that we must overcome as a collective and it is the duty of all of us to do whatever we can to meet these challenges.
If you’re an existing customer that would like to add the Coronavirus/COVID-19 declaration in your VehoCheck checklist, then please reach out on enquiries@vehocheck.com or call us on 01646 689270.
This feature will also be available for any new customers of VehoCheck, as standard.
We hope that your business can successfully navigate your way through this crisis and please know that we will be here for you.
